How Repatriation Works
Initial Contact
Family, funeral home, or consulate contacts RTSI. We respond immediately and begin coordination.
Documentation
Death certificate, embalming certificate, consulate/embassy authorization, and transport permits gathered and verified.
Preparation
Coordination with funeral home for preparation, hermetically sealed casket or zinc-lined container as required by destination.
Customs & Export
Export documentation and CBSA clearance are coordinated through the licensed customs broker partner.
Airline Booking
IATA-affiliated booking on appropriate carrier. Known Shipper requirements, cargo-only aircraft when needed.
Destination Clearance
Coordination with destination customs, funeral home, and family for receiving and final delivery.
